Read Across Tyrrell/Family Reading Night
Thank you to our guest readers! Also, thank you to all for hosting our guest/celebrity readers on Read Across Tyrrell day. This was a positive experience for our entire community. It further encouraged the love and excitement of reading. In addition, thank you Ms. Jurado/Ms. McKimmey for coordinating a successful Family Reading Night, and our many teachers/staff that contributed and participated in the event. Thank you for continuing to make a difference for our kids! Stacey Vidal
First Tee of the East Bay
First Tee of the East Bay at Pebble Beach
Seven of the 16 First Tee participating students attended the field trip, sponsored by the First Tee of the East Bay. Their journey began at 6:30am as they boarded the bus at Metropolitan Golflinks in Oakland. From there, Tyrrell students ventured on to to Pebble Beach where they were spectators at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, PGA Tour golf tournament. In addition to watching the professionals and some celebrities play golf, they also tested out their own skills in the Stem Zone for kids. Many thanks to the First Tee of the East Bay for making this opportunity a reality for Tyrrell students.
Tyrrell Students engaged in learning
Tyrrell is a Peacebuilders School!
Tyrrell Elementary School is a uniform school. Students are expected to wear uniforms every day.
TOPS – White with a collar (polo shirt, blouse)
BOTTOMS – Tan (pants, shorts, jumpers, or skirts with shorts underneath)
OUTERWEAR – Black (sweaters, sweatshirts)
Wearing a uniform to school instills a sense of community, unity, and school pride. In addition, uniforms contribute to the overall safety of Tyrrell.
Thank You Hayward Rotary
